Programs

At Capital Kids, we focus on creating a nurturing and safe environment for our students. Our programs are designed to meet the developmental needs of each of the three (3) age groups. In every developmental stage, our focus is to make sure that each child is ready for the next class.

  • 2 – 3 years:
At the age of two, children are learning to communicate and be independent. A lot of encouragement is needed at this stage and we facilitate both self play and group play to encourage sharing. Twos learn to pull things apart. At age three, level of inquisitiveness expand and not only are they pulling things apart but they are learning to put them back together. We start introducing alphabets, numbers and science in this class through play, music and videos.
  • 3 – 4 years:
This age group is expanding its knowledge by increasing the complexity of its problem solving activities while building on more advanced levels of problem solving and communication techniques. They learn to count and learn letters of the alphabet. They also learn to identify numbers and letters. Outside & indoor play, technology and videos are used to facilitate and improve understanding of materials learnt.
  • 4 – 5 years:
Our pre-k class is more advanced than both the preschool classes. Activities involving addition and subtraction are introduced. Advanced verbal communication skills and learning new words takes shape. Social development increases and working in groups bring better outcomes and is much more tolerated. Science experiments and more hands-on projects become easier to deal with.

Our staff records growth and development stages of every student in the class using assessment tool checklists.

After school Program:
Our teachers help students with homework and offer supervised play after all school work is done. We offer Chess, Scrabble, Rummikub, Monopoly and lots of board games. A video library is also at their disposal.
